Terms of Service

By creating an account or submitting a case to the YM Design Portal you agree to these Terms.

1. Who can use the portal

You must be a licensed dentist or an authorized member of a licensed dental practice. We verify license / NPI before activating your account. Misrepresenting credentials is grounds for immediate termination.

2. What we provide

YM Dental Lab provides a CAD design service. We deliver digital design files (STL / DCM and related formats) for the restoration you specify, designed by our certified technicians using exocad, 3Shape, or compatible software. We do not deliver physical restorations. Milling, printing, finishing, and patient fitting remain your responsibility.

3. Clinical responsibility

YM is a design service, not a treating provider. You — the dentist — retain sole clinical responsibility for diagnosis, treatment planning, fit, occlusion verification, and patient outcomes. Our designers work from the scans, photos, and notes you provide.

4. Fees & payment

• Fees are quoted in US dollars per case and shown before payment.
• Standard accounts pay via Stripe at submission. Net-30 accounts (by invitation) are billed monthly.
• Late or unpaid balances may result in a hold on new submissions.

5. Refunds & revisions

Once a case enters our design queue, the work cannot be unbooked. If you're unhappy with the delivered file, contact us within 7 days at info@ymdental.com. The Request Revision button inside the case page sends the case back to your designer with your notes. We absorb the cost of revisions caused by clear design errors on our side; revisions driven by changes to the original prescription may carry an additional fee, which we'll quote before starting. Refunds are evaluated case-by-case and issued at our discretion.

6. Acceptable use

• Don't upload anything you don't have the right to upload, including patient PHI without proper consent.
• Don't probe, scrape, scan, or attempt to break the portal or its dependencies.
• One person per account. Share via the practice-invite feature, not by sharing credentials.

7. IP & ownership

Your scans and patient data remain yours. The finished design file we deliver is licensed to you for use with the patient in question. The portal software and its code are owned by YM Dental Lab.

8. No certifications

YM does not represent the Service as "HIPAA-certified," "HIPAA-compliant," or as carrying any other regulatory certification. No such certifications exist for software of this type. If your practice requires a Business Associate Agreement, see HIPAA & BAA.

9. Disclaimers & liability

The portal is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent allowed by law, YM's aggregate liability for any claim arising from your use of the portal will not exceed the fees you've paid us in the 90 days prior to the claim.

10. Termination

You can close your account anytime. We can suspend or terminate accounts for unpaid balances, abuse, or material violation of these Terms. Records we are legally required to retain (invoices, audit logs, completed designs) survive termination.

11. Governing law

Commonwealth of Virginia, United States. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts of Fairfax County, Virginia.
